THE TWO NEPHEWS OF VENEZUELA’S FIRST LADY WHO WERE ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY SMUGGLING COCAINE INTO U.S WERE REFUSED BAIL IN NEW YORK.

A 29-year-old Efrain Campos and 30-year-old Francisco Flores, nephews of the Venezuela’s first lady were arrested  at a hotel in Port-au-Prince, Haiti after arriving from Venezuela on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 for allegedly conspiring to smuggle 800 kilograms of cocaine into the U.S. and both of them were later flown to the United States according to Viewers Corner News correspondent in New York City.

The two men appeared in a federal court in New York, U.S on Thursday, November 12, 2015 and the U.S  judge ordered them to be held without bail.
According to the report, this arrest would damage the relationship between the U.S. and Venezuela and if convicted, the sentence carries a maximum of life in prison.
