A Massachusetts teenager named Philip Chism (16 years) is facing trial for raping and murdering a very popular teacher named Colleen Ritzer at his suburban high school in Danvers, Massachusetts on October 22, 2013 when he was 14 years old and a freshman in that school. According to Viewers Corner News source in Massachusetts, Philip Chism who is  being charged as an adult under Massachusetts law for first-degree murder allegedly followed a 24-year-old Colleen Ritzer into the school’s bathroom, raped her and cut her throat with a box cutter. The teacher’s dead body was later found in woods near Danvers High School with a note reading: “I hate you all”.

Philip Chism was also accused of taking the murdered teacher’s credit card, which he used to buy fast food and a ticket to a movie at a nearby mall. His trial at the Essex County Superior Court was delayed when his lawyers reported that Chism experienced a mental disturbance and was unfit to stand trial.
His case was reopened on Monday, November 16, 2015 and if found guilty of first-degree murder, he would face a sentence of life in prison without a possibility of parole.
