The International Criminal Court has asked the Uganda authority to arrest the president of Sudan, Omar Hassan Al-Bashir when he visited the country (Uganda) so that he would stand trial for an alleged crime against humanity which was issued on him. This is exactly what the International criminal court told south African authority in the past but at the end Omar Hassan Al-Bashir was allowed to leave the country (South Africa). The International Criminal Court said that these two countries South Africa and Uganda are members of the organization therefore by law they should be able to arrest anyone whom an arrest warrant has been placed on, most especially if such suspect visits any member country. Failure to do so would be a violation of the law which they are part of but the question is this, is it fair for these member countries of ICC to arrest and hand over Omar Hassan Al-Bashir to the International criminal court? We believe that arresting Al-Bashir may be difficult because some of these ICC member countries are doing business with Sudan and in most cases, Omar Al-Bashir is visiting these countries on invitation therefore it may be a bit difficult to hand him over to the International criminal court even if they are members of the organization and the law permits that.
Our (Viewers corner) advice on this is that the International criminal court should amend the law which permits member countries to arrest suspects and hand them over to the organization because most of the laws were drafted without properly examining the implications as it may affect member nations that would want to arrest any suspect of International standing. The International criminal court should have a second thought on this issue and decide on how best to get the problem solved. Also the world should work out a better plan on how Omar Hassan Al-Bashir and other suspects should be arrested to face the law because the atrocities allegedly committed by these men are so enormous. Viewers corner and other Rights groups around the world demand justice for the innocent lives wasted by some of these terrible individuals who parade themselves around the world as saints. However justice can only be achieved when these men are caught and brought to book and on this note, we plead with the International criminal court to step up action against these alleged evil men who have no conscience in order to get them arrested.
