THE SPEAKER OF EBONYI STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY WAS ALLEGED TO HAVE EMBEZZLED ABOUT SIXTY MILLION NAIRA (N60 MILLION) THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO HIM, TOO BAD.

This is an unfortunate situation for some leaders in authority to have descended so low by taking the money that was kept in their care which would have been used to execute projects within their states which would bring benefits to the people of their states. Instead of using the fund for which it was meant for, they turn around and embezzled that same money that was kept in their care thereby leaving the people of their various states to suffer just like. We gathered that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (E.F.C.C) had in the past invited the speaker (Ogbonnaya Francis Nwaifuru) of Ebonyi state House of Assembly to come quietly and answer the allegations against him but he ignored them most probably because he thought he could beat the system and since he is the speaker of the House in Ebonyi state, no one would arrest him. He was accused of embezzling about sixty million Naira (N60 million), this is a huge sum of money and could go a long way in creating some good infrastructures for the state but he took the money as alleged and now he has to face the law.
Time has come for Nigerian government to be more hard on these corrupt leaders who do not want to see the poor people of their various states grow so that they can get out of poverty and one of the barriers to this is corruption. If this aspect is properly cured then both the state and federal government would perform well, development can only be achieved if all the stolen wealth have been recovered and all the loopholes of stealing money is blocked. Honestly these things need careful planning so as to stop this practice from happening again. Viewers Corner applaud the good work of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (E.F.C.C) for getting the speaker of Ebonyi state House of Assembly arrested, this would show others that no one is above the law of the land (Nigeria).
