THE SOUTH EAST LEADERS AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA SHOULD ADDRESS THE EVERY MONDAY SIT AT HOME ORDER IN THE SOUTH EAST BEFORE IT GETS OUT OF CONTROL.

The every Monday sit at home order being carried out in the south east should be regarded as a quiet revolution which should not be ignored but handled with care by both the states and the federal government of Nigeria.

The Viewers Corner News team is appealing to the federal government of Nigeria to get involved and see how such an ugly issue can be settled. The way things are going in Nigeria at the moment, if other states across the country join in such a protest, it is capable of crippling the economy of the country. It may sound so funny or unthinkable at this early stage, but if not put to an end, Nigeria as a country may run into an economic crisis in the near future worse than it is at the moment. In the south-eastern part of Nigeria, the people no longer respect nor trust their leaders. Even most orders are not obeyed anymore in that region. If this extends to other states in Nigeria, then such an issue is capable of bringing any government down, which we hope will not get to that point. Both the states and the federal government of Nigeria should not forget the agony of the “End SARS” protest carried out for a few weeks by Nigerian youths, which crippled the economy of Nigeria for weeks. If not properly controlled, this sit-at-home order in the south east could be even worse. Therefore, the government of Nigeria should seek peaceful means to resolve the issue before it gets too late.
