For President Buhari’s government to regain the lost glory on issues of corruption, President Buhari and his government should begin now to honestly look into the alleged sixteen billion dollars spent to give the people of Nigeria electricity under the leadership of ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo. President Buhari in the past pledged to carry out proper investigation concerning this project but up till now, nothing has been done about it. The people of Nigeria need answers, they want to know where the money went and how it was spent because such huge sum of money (sixteen billion dollars), if it was properly put in use, the issue of power supply in Nigeria would have been history. Look at Nigeria as a nation which can not supply power to her citizens on daily basis most especially now that a stay at home order is in place across the country (Nigeria). Again, most Nigerians both home and abroad are saying that corruption in President Buhari’s government is part of the reasons his government is not probing some sectors because some of those in his government and the cabals are allegedly involved in the scam. Even some ministers in President Buhari’s government who were speaking the truth in the past before they were appointed can no longer speak out, they know the truth but choose to be silent.
