The present leadership of the Nigerian Senate got it completely wrong when it was alleged that every proposal coming from the presidency would be approved. Such statement showed that the Senate is a division of the presidency and democracy does not work that way, meaning that Mr Ahmed Lawan’s leadership is not the one to take Nigeria to the next level. Look at the recent loan approval of about 30 billion dollars by the Senate to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, does Nigeria needs such loan now? If yes, which areas and how are these loans going to be used? Now hear this; It is not wrong to obtain a loan to solve issues which would bring benefits to the people of Nigeria but the main issue is, would this loan be channelled to the purpose for which it was meant for? Nigeria taking this loan may not be in the best interest of the country (Nigeria). Sometime ago, President Buhari appointed some economic advisers but up till now, no one has heard anything from them to the growth of the economy of the country (Nigeria). The people of Nigeria would always like to hear from them most especially on the issue of the recent loan approved by the national assembly. Again, keeping quite shows that all is not well, the economic advisers should speak out by informing Nigerians on what is going on in the economy even though they are President Buhari’s economic advisers assuming they are also working for the best interest of the country (Nigeria).
