Viewers Corner is appealing to the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon who is currently on visit to Burundi to kindly plead with the self imposed President of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza to respect the constitution of the country which says that only two terms is required for every sitting President at any given time which the self imposed President Pierre Nkurunziza has successfully completed but refused to step down. This is unacceptable and against the principles of democracy, the constitution of Burundi made it very clear on that. Why is it difficult for this man to understand? This has been the major reason the country Burundi is having problems till today and hundreds of innocent citizens of the country (Burundi) have been killed as a result of that and the African Union is not doing much to end the problems. Therefore, Viewers Corner joins other peace loving nations/groups around the world to plead with the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon who is currently on visit to Burundi to please ask this self imposed dictator (Pierre Nkurunziza) to step down and allow peace to come to the country.
Again, the continent of Africa is tired of dictatorship system of government which is a serious problem in various countries within the continent and this is one of the reasons the continent is not moving forward till today. Despite all the natural resources in various countries in the continent, still no much progress has been recorded. Killings are everywhere in almost all the countries in the continent therefore time has come for all the leaders in Africa to change direction and start doing what is right for the citizens of their countries.
