THE RECENT WITHDRAWAL OF POLICE ORDERLIES FROM POLITICIANS AND OTHERS IN NIGERIA AS ALLEGED IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

Viewers corner’s correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) revealed to us that the Inspector general of police in Nigeria has allegedly ordered the withdrawal of police orderlies from politicians and others in the country. We believe that such development is not the best for the country because the security situation of Nigeria is not stable to warrant such withdrawal. Again our thoughts are that the Inspector General of police may be creating business opportunities for kidnappers and other criminals in the country (Nigeria), honestly this arrangement is not the best. Somehow the politicians can easily be targeted if proper protection is not put in place for them, therefore we (Viewers corner) are appealing that the Inspector General of police in Nigeria should reconsider his decision concerning this issue and send the police orderlies back to the politicians and others as it was. This is very important because the security situation of Nigeria is not a stable one that would allow such withdrawal of police orderlies from the politicians and others. If the Nigerian government is short of police officers, they should carry out fresh recruitment of both men and women to join the force, we also believe that this is the best way security can be maintained in the country. Surely the Nigerian police needs more able body men and women to join the police force and protect the citizens of the country (Nigeria).
