THE QATAR’S EMIR HAS APPOINTED A NEW PRIME MINISTER AFTER THE FORMER PRIME MINISTER, SHEIKH ABDULLAH RESIGNED.

It was reported that Qatari emir has appointed Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani to replace the former Qatar’s prime minister (Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani) who had resigned. The new prime minister Sheikh Khalid was also named as the Gulf state’s interior minister. Sheikh Khalid took the oath of office before the emir, in a ceremony also attended by Deputy Emir, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani. Sheikh Khalid, the new prime minister of Qatar had worked as the head of the Amiri Diwan. He also worked in the gas industry.
