THE PRESTIGIOUS 2016 ZIK’S AWARD HAS BEEN HIJACKED. THOSE WHO WERE GIVEN THE 2016 ZIK’S AWARD NEVER MERITED IT, THEY ARE GOVERNOR DAVID UMAHI OF EBONYI STATE, ABDULLAHI GANDUJE OF KANO STATE AND KASHIM SHETTIMA OF BORNO STATE.

Every award is an honour showing how exceptional an individual who is receiving it stands out in the society and his achievements towards the society he or she lives but in some part of the world most especially in Nigeria, some awards are giving to the highest bidder by some corrupt group of people who are organizing or representing such prestigious outfits. Our (Viewers Corner News) analysis here is about the recent Zik’s award given to these governors in Nigeria, they are governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state and Kashim Shettima of Borno state all in Nigeria. We (Viewers Corner News team) ask what were the basic formula used before selecting these three governors for this award? However it was sad to see how terrible and shortsighted those who gave out these prestigious awards to these governors can be, most especially the one given to governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state who got the good governance and outstanding  leadership award of the year. This is unbelievable and a slap on the face of such prestigious award. Governor David Umahi does not merit such award, this is a governor up till now is still owing pensioners’ gratuities, the monthly allowances of Ebonyi state Seniors (Pensioners) are still not paid, intimidation and beating up of people of Ebonyi state is still going on in the state, no job is created in the state, hunger is the order of the day in the state. Governor David Umahi’s tax policy is among the worst in Nigeria just like the rest two governors who also received the Zik’s award. These few points are enough reasons not to give governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state such award for good governance and outstanding leadership, this is too bad and condemnable too. The organizers did not do their homework properly before giving out the award to governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state, therefore we (Viewers Corner News) are appealing to organizers of various awards in Nigeria to carry out proper check concerning the would be recipient of such great awards in the future so that the right people are giving the price, this is very important. Again governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state does not merit such award and will never be recognized by majority of people in Ebonyi state, no matter how other people who are not from Ebonyi state may take it. Honestly governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state is a bad news and hopefully would not be re-elected come 2019.
