THE ONLY WAY FORWARD FOR NIGERIA IS THROUGH MECHANIZED FARMING. PRESIDENT BUHARI AND HIS GOVERNMENT SHOULD MAKE FUNDS AVAILABLE TO FARMERS AND ALSO TRAIN THEM ON MODERN FARMING TECHNIQUES.

Viewers Corner News and the Advisory team is appealing to President Buhari and his government to make funds available to farmers in the country (Nigeria) and also train them on modern farming techniques. Mechanized farming is the only way forward for a country like Nigeria with good fertile lands and with a population of over 170 million people. This method of farming is what the country needs to feed her citizens nicely. Even if an individual does not have enough money in his possession but the little he or she has should be enough to buy quality food to eat. We (Viewers Corner News team) have written articles on this topic in the past informing the government the importance of this venture. The major problem Nigeria has today is the issue of not being able to feed her growing population properly. Prices of food items in the market are so high and now the prices of petroleum product is fluctuating in the world market which has affected the country’s budget thereby creating economic problems for the people. Therefore now that the situation has changed, the government should adopt a measure that would suit the situation which in our (Viewers Corner News team) opinion is through mechanized farming system.

If there is enough food in the country at affordable prices, the people of Nigeria would not feel the terrible effect of economic hardship like it is hitting them at the moment. The only way to get this issue sorted out is to create an atmosphere for this mechanized farming system to start as soon as possible, this is the only way food scarcity or high cost of food items would be defeated. Again the population of the country (Nigeria) is growing at a faster rate which is good but the government should plan properly to suit this condition and the only way forward is through this method we have suggested here (mechanized farming system). Honestly the time to act is now because tomorrow may be too late.
