It was reported last week that Aero Contractors Airline used ladder to disembarked its passengers in Bauchi (Nigeria) airport and in order to avoid this incident from happening in the future, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has imposed fine on the airline. According to the report, the Director General of the Regulatory Authority, Captain Muhtar Usman stated that Aero Contractors violates the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations [Part 9.2.4.2(b)], therefore the airline will pay a fine running into millions of naira. Also the captain of the aircraft Boeing 737– 500) is penalized for failing to comply with the provisions contained in the aircraft manual.
