Banning or proposing to use the Nigerian army to intimidate the people’s protests going on in Abuja or in any part of the country (Nigeria) would be the greatest mistake any government would ever make. We (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on the federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Buhari not to use the Nigerian army to disrupt a peaceful protest. The Nigerian army should stay away from the protest, there is no going back. Let the Nigerian army take their fight to Boko harm and other bandits who they have not been able to defeat after years of fighting them and not the innocent people of Nigeria who are genuinely demanding for good governance in Nigeria. We (Viewers Corner News team) would also appeal to the federal government of Nigeria to go back to the drawing table to see where they went wrong and find solution on how to get it fixed. The people of Nigeria have waited too long and have been subjected to all sorts of horrible treatment. At this point, the people of Nigeria can no longer keep quiet because they have been pushed to the extreme, hence their reactions now which is quite understandable. Corruption and mismanagement of public funds by few corrupt individuals in the country (Nigeria) have deprived the people of Nigeria so many good things of life which Nigerians both home and abroad expected President Buhari to end or reduce to the lowest level based on his past good records but till today, nothing much on the fight against corruption have been achieved from a president majority of Nigerians believed has zero tolerance for corruption, instead both the past and present corrupt individuals keep visiting the presidential villa. What are they looking for? We (Viewers Corner News team) ask again, where is the sixteen billion dollar allegedly spent under ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo to give the people of Nigeria power? Nigerians both home and abroad need answer to this question. Under ex-president Goodluck Jonathan administration, the economy of Nigeria was badly mismanaged, corruption was the order of the day as at that time, therefore those involved in that scam should be brought to book. Nigerians demand good governance generally, that is why they are on the streets across the country (Nigeria) protesting. It is their right to do so because they voted to have good governance which is not reaching their way. More on this topic would come in our next article.
