The recent ban on cattle grazing in Abuja city is a welcome news, however Viewers Corner News would use this opportunity to appeal to the federal government of Nigeria to make a special arrangement in certain reserved areas where cattle grazing would always be carried out by their handlers instead of parading their cattle in various cities across the country (Nigeria). This is not only happening in Abuja but also in other cities across the country (Nigeria) and this does not speak well of a great country like Nigeria. Therefore we plead that proper arrangement be made to address this issue, normally grazing should be conducted in specified areas. Somehow the cattle handlers do not know why it is not proper to parade their livestock everywhere around the country therefore the federal government should create educational awareness campaign which would teach them why this practice should not be allowed and also letting them know why they are being restricted to a particular area. We also believe that if the herdsmen are properly educated, they would see reasons with the federal government and also obey the rules given to them. In most cases is because they are not aware of the dangers involved in carrying cattle everywhere in the country.
Sometime ago, these cattle handlers were seen carrying their cattle across a pedestrian bridge which is not right and that is because they lack awareness and should be taught properly, let the federal government educate them on this aspect, it is very important.
