Ehud Olmert, the former Israeli prime minister must serve his jail terms of 27 months. On Wednesday, the Israel’s Supreme Court rejected an appeal by former prime minister, Ehud Olmert against his jail terms for corruption and other convictions for bribery and obstruction of justice ruled against him in 2015. Olmert who entered prison in February appealed against the conviction and sentence for collecting bribe when he was the country’s minister of trade and industry from a United States businessman. He has become the first Israel’s ex prime minister to serve jail terms when he entered Maasiyahu Prison in the central city of Ramle on February 15, 2016.
