Nigerians who wrote to the Viewers Corner News office had expected that the Independent National Electoral Commission of Nigeria would have redeemed the image of the commission in the recent governorship elections held in Nigeria. But they failed completely to sincerely conduct the governorship elections in a free and fair manner, which is sad. Nigerians saw massive rigging in all the states where the governorship election was held. At this point, the people of Nigeria should start thinking about how they are going to take their country back from these elderly corrupt politicians who do not want to follow the rules of a democratic system. This is absolutely sad. Even Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who can barely win his constituency, was declared the winner of the election in Imo State, despite evidence of rigging. Our concern is that the All Progressives Congress would not like to leave power, unless something very hard hits them. Again, Nigerians should go back to the drawing board and figure out how they are going to take their country back from these elderly corrupt politicians, who would not voluntarily leave office.
