Information reaching Viewers Corner News from our correspondent who visited Lokoja (Nigeria) recently revealed that governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state (Nigeria) at this time towards the end of his tenure is coming up with a deceitful game by trying to start up a project in Igala community. It is so surprising that almost at the end of his tenure, he (governor Yahaya Bello) is now realizing that it is time to put up a project in that area which we (Viewers Corner News team) call a deceitful project. The Igala community are great people based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings and do not need a prophet to tell them that governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state is manipulating them so that he can get their votes for the upcoming governorship election in the state. We (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on the great people of Igala to discard governor Yahaya Bello’s deceitful agenda. If he is sincere and care for the Igala community in Kogi state, he should have long started that alleged project. Even if he did not finish it before his tenure of office ends assuming, it would have been in record that such a project was initiated by governor Yahaya Bello and not waiting till few days to governorship election before beginning the project. Democracy is about change, since governor Yahaya Bello was given four years opportunity to fix Kogi state (Nigeria) and he didn’t do much, such a governor should be voted out of office because if he is re-elected to office, he will not perform any magic. Meaning that all the projects he is trying to start in Igala community or elsewhere in Kogi state will be abandoned. Another reason we (Viewers Corner News team) are against governor Yahaya Bello’s re-election to office is his inability to pay workers salaries and pensioners allowances despite all the bailout funds given to him and the monthly allocations he receives from the federal government of Nigeria to put things right in Kogi state including the internal generated revenues from Kogi state, still he can not perform properly and some people want him to still continue in office which is bad. In Kogi state (Nigeria), lots of pensioners died from stress related illnesses because their pension allowances were not paid. When they were sick, there was no money to buy the required drugs or go to hospital for treatment which is really sad. Look at the workers in Kogi state who are being owed months if not years of unpaid salaries, how do you want them to feed themselves and take care of their families? All these put together are more than enough reasons to reject governor Yahaya Bello’s re-election to office and we (Viewers Corner News team) stand by it that a vote for governor Yahaya Bello is a wasted effort. Any governor in Nigeria who is not able to pay workers salaries and pensioners allowances in his state has no business being re-elected to office. Governor Yahaya Bello is one of such governors, hence we (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on the Igala community and others in Kogi state (Nigeria) to reject governor Yahaya Bello’s re-election to office.
