Let the truth be told, if President Buhari who is a no-nonsense leader is really in-charge of Nigeria, there is no way almost all the government dignitaries would troop into Owerri (Imo state) to celebrate one year anniversary of governor Hope Uzodinma in office. What for? Now hear our (Viewers Corner News team) point on this issue, we believe that Nigeria as a country is in crisis at the moment, beginning with the economy and insecurity across the country which require proper planning on how to put things right and not trooping into Owerri by almost all the dignitaries to celebrate just one year anniversary of governor Hope Uzodinma who has not recorded any significant achievement in his state.
This is recklessness, laughable and a waste of time on the part of those government functionaries who went there. Somehow there is nothing bad celebrating with someone but it has to be when an individual, be it in government or elsewhere has achieved something significant or has brought empowerment to his state or the country as a whole. The people of Nigeria would see the group of leaders they elect to run the affairs of the country who can not think properly, know when to draw the line and say no, this sort of celebration should not come when Nigeria is not making significant progress. If you look very closely, the cost of this extravagant one year anniversary celebration hosted by governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state is surely going to come from Imo state government treasury and at the end, billions of Naira would be claimed for this reckless and irresponsible celebration. In Imo state, pensioners allowances are still not completely paid, the unemployment situation in the state is also another issue which Viewers Corner News team expect governor Hope Uzodinma to tackle first before inviting dignitaries to come and celebrate his one year anniversary in office which is uncalled for. Again, this one year anniversary hosted by governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state in our (Viewers Corner News team) opinion should not have been hosted until a significant achievement has been recorded in his state (Imo state).
