The current leadership of Kogi State is an extension of ex-governor Yahaya Bello’s administration. Meaning that governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State cannot carry out any assignment as governor of Kogi State without seeking approval from ex-governor Yahaya Bello. The Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja gathered that Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State made it clear that his decisions would not count in any matter concerning the state, and if ex-governor Yahaya Bello issues an order, the people of Kogi State should take it and ignore his own. What a shame. Ex-governor Yahaya Bello, who led Kogi State for eight years, made sure that, as he was leaving office, another governor who he could control took over the leadership of the state from him. Now hear this: under this arrangement, only one thing is involved, which is to cover all the past atrocities that ex-governor Yahaya Bello and his administration committed during their eight years of leading Kogi State. It is a fact that ex-governor Yahaya Bello is a very corrupt man who stole so much money from the treasury of Kogi State. Meaning that if another leader who is not loyal to him takes over the leadership of Kogi State, then so many fraudulent activities would be discovered, which would lead to the arrest of ex-governor Yahaya Bello. This is what he is trying to avoid. Hence, he brought Governor Usman Ododo, whom he could conveniently push around. Again, we believe that no matter how long it may take, someday the people of Kogi State shall elect a leader who will look into all the records of past leaders of Kogi State, and when such time comes, those who committed fraud shall be brought to justice.
