The government of Ethiopia should stop humiliating their fellow Africans. It is important that you treat them as your brothers and sisters.

Information reaching Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, revealed that some African countries, especially Nigeria, are being treated in a dehumanizing manner by Ethiopian immigration officers each time they transit or visit the country. Our correspondent further revealed that as a Nigerian carrying a green international passport, you are subjected to harassment of all sorts. Based on this, the Viewers Corner News team is calling on the African Union to call the government of Ethiopia to order. This is a serious issue that needs urgent attention. The government of Ethiopia should understand that Nigerians are not criminals; Nigerians are great people and accommodate whoever comes their way, which the Viewers Corner News team expects all African countries to emulate and treat their fellow Africans as brothers and sisters. It is very wrong for the government of Ethiopia to subject someone who has not been found guilty to all sorts of harassment just because he is a Nigerian or from a country you do not like. Again, the Viewers Corner News team is calling on the government of Ethiopia to let go of those they are detaining in various prisons in the country. Our correspondent also revealed that lots of Africans have been in dangerous prisons in Ethiopia for months, if not years. These Africans have no access to lawyers, as alleged, and they have been there for a long time, which is unacceptable. The Ethiopian government should put them on trial or set them free. We would also use this opportunity to plead with Nigerians who are using Ethiopia Airlines to have a rethink because when you transit there and luck runs against you or you meet immigration officers who have hatred for Nigerians and citizens of other African countries, then you may likely be subjected to harsh treatment. So save yourselves the pain by avoiding such a country.
