Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state in Nigeria has repeatedly accused the Fulani terrorist Herdsmen and the Miyetti Allah breeders association of Nigeria of wanting to terminate his life for speaking the truth on issues of open grazing. Governor Samuel Ortom just like other governors in south west, south south and south east has completely rejected any form of open grazing which in the eyes on the world is not the best method of cattle rearing. Unfortunately, governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state has been singled out by the Fulani terrorist Herdsmen who vowed to have him eliminated which is bad. If you look at the past statements and activities of Miyetti Allah cattle breeders association of Nigeria who have been speaking recklessly with impunity that can make any government to proscribe such organisation as a terrorist group but the federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of president Buhari does not want to do that because some big names in the northern part of Nigeria have stakes in that organisation which is troubling. Look at the recent assassination attempt on governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state, if those who plotted such evil act to kill him had succeeded, then it would have created another horrible setback in Benue state. Nigeria has now become a lawless country where human beings can be killed just like that and nothing would come out of it. Viewers Corner News team would use this opportunity to advise governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state to set up a strong tax force to make sure that there shall not be any form of open grazing in the state. Any cattle rearer who wants to live and do business in Benue state should lease a land. Cattle rearing is a private business venture with huge financial gains just like every other business, therefore no preference should be giving to those in such business. Cattle rearers should pay taxes adequately to the state government which is the right thing to do.
