It was reported that Ernest Bai Koroma, the Sierra Leone ex-president and over 100 government officials who served during his tenure have been banned from leaving the country due to corruption allegations. According to the report, President Maada Bio’s government ordered ex-president Ernest Bai Koroma and his associates accused of corruption to pay back stolen money and forfeit their houses, or they will be investigated further. Ernest Bai Koroma’s political party, All People’s Congress (APC) has dismissed the allegations. The political party’s lawyer said that they will challenge the travel ban at the court.
