THE FORMER DEFENCE CHIEF, ALEX BADEH IS ON THE NEWS AGAIN. HE WAS ALLEGED TO HAVE USED PUBLIC FUND TO BUILD HIS MANSION WHICH WAS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT 1.4 BILLION NAIRA, THIS IS HUGE.

So far so good, we (Viewers Corner) believe that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is doing a great job in Nigeria so as to get these big names in authorities who embezzled fund from the Nigerian treasury, they should face trials because they contributed to the problems the Nigerian people are facing till today. The hardship in Nigeria is too much and these terrible leaders in the past did not do anything good to assist the government in which they were part of, all they were interested in was to enrich themselves and their families so that they can be above everyone in the country but now the law is visiting them one after the other.
Recently, it was revealed that Alex Badeh who was the former defence chief is being accused of building his mansion with public money and the worth of the  mansion as alleged is valued at 1.4 billion Naira while the ordinary Nigerian person can barely feed well. Where is our conscience? How can this be happening in Nigeria at this time of hardship and some group of individuals in Nigeria may not see anything wrong in this issue? Anyhow it plays out we would always remind Nigerians to please play down a bit on sentiments because this is one aspect of the problems that is bringing Nigeria backward. For any country to move forward, we should put the laws of the land first no matter who is involved even if the person is going to be freed at the end, let the rule of law prevail. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) should carry out their functions and prosecute whosoever that is accused of any wrong doing in the country but in a more transparent manner.
Once again, we believe that no matter how anyone does his or her job, criticisms of all sorts would always come somewhere along the line but we advise that everyone should hold on to fairness, dedication, truth and integrity. These are some of the good qualities needed to live a normal and happy life.
