Information reaching Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) revealed that during the lockdown, over five hundred million Naira was used as part of the school feeding program to feed the school children. We (Viewers Corner News team) ask; feeding children at home or how? This is the most funny statement we (Viewers Corner News team) have heard in a long while. Five hundred million Naira is a huge amount of money to be wasted just like that. Do you know what this huge sum of money (Five hundred million Naira) would do to those displaced people of Nigeria as a result of the problem created by boko haram terrorist group in the northern part of the country (Nigeria) assuming the money was spent on those Nigerians suffering due to boko haram’s displacement? The minister of humanitarian affairs and her ministry are so bold to announce such huge figure to the world as alleged. Our (Viewers Corner News team) point is this; there is nothing wrong feeding children while at school but it should be done when all the necessary divisions within the economy of the country (Nigeria) have been taken care of. Now hear this; before any child leaves home for school, he or she may have been given a lunch box with food inside it by the parents and when they close from school, food is waiting for them at home. Somehow it is nice as the federal government of Nigeria is doing that feeding project to support the parents of those children in various schools across the country (Nigeria) but the method and implementation of such program is not properly handled. There is huge corruption going on in that ministry of humanitarian affairs in charge of this feeding program. Instead of the federal government of Nigeria wasting money on such project where only few Nigerians would use that as a privilege to scam the country (Nigeria), it would be better to close it down completely for now until the time is ripe to implement it. Again, Viewers Corner News team believe that the federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Buhari brought this feeding program with good intention but few corrupt individuals in Nigeria is abusing it, hence we (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on the federal government of Nigeria to abolish it and use the money earmarked for that feeding program to attend to other pressing issues in the country (Nigeria). Health care facilities in Nigeria today is not functioning properly, jobs are not there for the people of the country (Nigeria), unemployment are everywhere, these and many more need huge amount of money to fix which we (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to the federal government of Nigeria to focus more on and not budgeting money to feed children who are at home.
