THE FEDERAL COURT OF APPEAL (NIGERIA) HAS DISMISSED BUKOLA SARAKI’S APPEAL TO STOP CODE OF CONDUCT TRIBUNAL’S TRIAL AGAINST HIM.

Information reaching Viewers Corner from Abuja, Nigeria stated that the Federal Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, Nigeria has dismissed the Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s petition to the court to stop the Code of Conduct Tribunal from further trial  of his case.
The Appeal Court which ruled on Friday, October 30, 2015 upheld the authority of the Code of Conduct Tribunal to try Bukola Saraki. It will be recalled that the Senate President who is facing a 13-count charge of alleged false declaration of assets and corruption has challenged the jurisdiction of the tribunal and requested the Appeal Court to nullify his trial which is to start in November 2015. According to report, after the ruling of the Appeal Court on Friday, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki has vowed  to challenge the ruling at the Supreme Court.
