When governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state came to power, he ignored those who assisted him in one way or the other to get there. Even then, most of the people were telling him the truth on how best to move the state forward instead he teamed up with some corrupt group of people in Ebonyi state who gave him fake promises that his second tenure would be completed whether with or without those advising him to put things right in the state. A time came when governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state danced to the federal government of Nigeria through the former secretary to the government of the federation (Mr Bachir Lawal) who was a very corrupt man and also governor David Umahi’s good friend. As at that time, governor David Umahi was allegedly sending all sorts of gifts to Mr Bachir and others so as to get good stand at the federal level using Ebonyi state wealth to achieve that instead of working for the people of the state who brought him to power but as God Almighty would have it, Mr Bachir was sent out of office on corruption related issues. Even the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria that is governor David Umahi’s party which is known to be a very corrupt political party in Nigeria are now having issues with him (governor David Umahi), meaning that he has nowhere to run to anymore. However, no matter the political party he defect to at this point, the people of Ebonyi state have made it clear that he (governor David Umahi) is on his own and enough is enough. On the other hand, our (Viewers Corner News team) sincere advice to all the politicians in Nigeria most especially in Ebonyi state is this; Please do not disregard or disrespect those who meant well for you and your various states if you are the governor of that state in question and anytime advice is given by them, always look into it nicely, dialogue with them by reaching a compromise because if the situation changes negatively, they would be the ones to assist you but as it is now in Ebonyi state, almost everyone is against governor David Umahi except few of those he allegedly paid recently to carry out fake solidarity rally in his favour in the state. Even the elders and some groups in Ebonyi state want governor David Umahi out of office as quickly as possible because of his terrible ways of doing things. We (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on those eligible voters in Ebonyi state who have not yet collected their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to kindly go and get theirs now because that is the only way a progressive government can be elected in Ebonyi state come 2019. Surely we (Viewers Corner News team) shall focus more attention on Ebonyi state come 2019 and make sure that we (Viewers Corner News team) campaign for a credible candidate and also guide the people of Ebonyi state into making a good choice for the state.
