The British Prime Minister, Theresa May and the European Union leaders have reached an agreement to extend the Brexit deadline until October 31, 2019. The new agreement reached on Thursday postponed the United Kingdom’s departure from the bloc to six months from the scheduled April 12 departure date. The EU’s decision comes with some conditions according to the information our correspondent gathered. Some of the conditions include; the United Kingdom must participate in European parliamentary elections scheduled in May or Britain risk leaving the European Union on June 1 without a deal. This will cost UK money because they will bring candidates to represent them in the European parliamentary elections. The EU would also hold a summit in June to review the status of the United Kingdom. Theresa May initially requested the Brexit deadline to be extended to June 30, luckily it has been extended longer than the Prime Minister wished. Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council has advised the United Kingdom to find best solution and not waste the time.
