The Northern Islamic Clerics in Nigeria endorsed Mr Peter Obi recently. They said that he is competent and can lead Nigeria well. This has nothing to do with religion or ethnicity, but with a leader who would get the job done, hence they endorsed him. The Viewers Corner News team applauds the Islamic Clerics for their decision. It showed that Nigeria is on the right road to success. Gone are those days when out of ignorance, some leaders in Nigeria would use religion and ethnicity to deceive their people. Such an era of deceit and manipulation is becoming outdated and would no longer be admissible in a modern-day Nigeria, which is great. Again, the hardship Nigerians are passing through at the moment is affecting everyone, so the Islamic Clerics and their supporters did the right thing by endorsing Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party. We plead with other Nigerians who are yet to make up their minds on who to cast their votes for in this year’s presidential election to do so now by joining the Labour Party because Mr Peter Obi is the only presidential candidate who can restore the lost hope of the ordinary Nigerians. The All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidates have nothing to offer to the people of the country. A vote for them should be seen as a wasted effort which is the truth, take it or leave it.
