THE ECONOMIC HARDSHIP NIGERIANS ARE SUFFERING TODAY IS AS A RESULT OF THE PAST GOVERNMENT OF FORMER PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN’S INABILITY TO FIGHT CORRUPTION AND CREATE BETTER CONDITIONS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA.

Nigeria is a very rich country but the running of the government in the past was placed in the hands of those leaders who do not know much about what economic policies, planning and development is all about. One aspect is going to a university to obtain a degree, another thing is wisdom and the ability to lead the people which most of these leaders lack. Honestly these corrupt leaders do not care about the welfare of the Nigerian people whom they are leading, selfishness, greed and the I don’t care attitude of the leaders are among the reasons Goodluck Jonathan’s led government failed. Again under the leadership of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, corruption was so visible for everyone to see which he was unable to detect and put a stop to it. Look at the unemployment rate in the country, a family would struggle and train their children up to the university level with the hope of better life for the family but what do they get? Frustration and regrets. Those who were in power during the past governments in Nigeria were living like lords while the citizens of Nigeria can barely feed well, this situation is very painful. Recently the son of the former minister of finance under the ex-president Goodluck Jonathan administration has allegedly been linked to a loot involving huge sums of money (1.5 billion Naira). The sad aspect of all these issues are some of these politicians were not doing these looting alone, they involved their children to assist them in the take-away-syndrome activities but right now the lightning of president Buhari’s government is visiting them one by one.
Corruption and lack of leadership capabilities are the main reasons Nigeria is not moving forward. Leaders get into office and forget the Nigerian people who made them get to where they are, all they are interested in is the amount of cash they could lay their hands on which is too bad, no conscience. However we are appealing to president Buhari and his government to create better conditions for the Nigerian people because the hardship is hitting them so much. We are concern citizens of the world and would always give advice when it is necessary.
