Nigeria’s middle aged women who are in senior positions in the country (Nigeria) including some women politicians are becoming more and more terrible. They have joined the league of corrupt individuals in Nigeria to kill the country (Nigeria). It was alleged that during the interrogation of Mrs Oyo-Ita Winifred Ekanem (Director General- Head of the Civil Service of the Federation) by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a 3 billion Naira fraud, the woman collapsed perhaps as a result of guilt. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s team gave it to her in an unexpected manner which might have led her to collapsed. However, we (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on women in positions of authority in Nigeria to be more of mothers in discharging their duties. Even if someone is encouraging you to steal money belonging to the country (Nigeria), as a woman say no to such act because your action would in the long run be found. Those who led you to committing the fraud would go free and the problem will be tied round your neck. As a mother, such act of indiscipline is so degrading. It has not been in the nature of women to do fraud if they are not pushed to it most especially by their male counterparts, this is what our (Viewers Corner News team) findings revealed. Women generally are always scared when issues of corruption are brought before them by men, they think mostly of the implications and are always afraid of being jailed, but as weak individuals they fall very easily to such ideas of men. Our (Viewers Corner News team) point here is that, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria should carry out a comprehensive investigation so as to get all those who may have lured this woman (Mrs Oyo-Ita Winifred Ekanem) into committing this alleged fraud. Based on this, we (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on all women in positions of authority in Nigeria to always standout in discharging their duties without any distraction from men. Women are mothers of the nation, doing fraud should not be their portion no matter the pressure from men. Always try and resist it because when the problem begins, you as a woman will carry it alone which would at the end dent your reputation which took you so many years to build. Look at Mrs Patience Goodluck Jonathan, Mrs Diezani Alison Madueke, Mrs Nenadi Esther Usman and lots of other women in Nigeria who almost killed Nigeria through looting from the treasury, there is the possibility that some Nigerian men may have lured them into such ugly act but when the problem came, those men could not be found and the women were left alone to carry the shame which is bad. Women please tread carefully most especially when you are in position of authority, if not some smart individuals in the country (Nigeria) with evil intentions may drag your reputation down.
