Saving and protecting the lives of individuals should be the first policy of every functional government, again not only protecting and saving the lives of the citizens but also making sure that they enjoy all the necessary facilities that would make them live a normal and happy life. This is what every government should do for her citizens. Not too long ago, the governor of Kaduna state (Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai) directed all the hospitals in the state to be treating all the accidents victims who may be brought to various hospitals in the state without having to ask for police report before the accidents victims are treated. We heard in the past that lots of lives were lost as a result of that in Nigeria, when hospitals would request for police report before an accident victim would be treated thereby leaving the wounded person in pains. This is not right. No matter who that person may be, his or her life would have to be saved first and as he or she is getting better then every other question could be asked but not when someone is having serious pains that needs urgent attention instead such individual would be left alone because of not producing a police report before treatment could commence. No it should not be so therefore for governor EL-Rufai of Kaduna state to have given this directives to all the hospitals in his state is a good news and Viewers Corner News commend him for that. We equally plead with other state governors in Nigeria including the federal government to adopt similar measure too by asking all the hospitals in the country (Nigeria) to treat with urgency any such incident that would be brought before the hospital. Please save and protect the lives of your citizens, this is what every government should do first. We understand to some extent why most hospitals in Nigeria have always asked for police report before treatment commences because after treating an accident victim in some cases, the police would later come and start making unnecessary problems with the hospital for treating someone without a police report. In this situation, no one would blame the hospital for requesting for such document before treatment begins but we (Viewers corner News) suggest again that the government should come out clean on this issue which would protect the hospitals in Nigeria so that when such case arises, they would be able to carry out their humanitarian services for mankind without being harassed by the law enforcement agents in the country (Nigeria). This is very important.
THE DIRECTIVES GIVEN TO HOSPITALS IN KADUNA STATE SOMETIME AGO BY EL-RUFAI (THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE) IS A WELCOME NEWS, SAVE LIVES FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR POLICE REPORT.
