THE DEATH OF ABU BAKR AL-BAGHDADI (THE ISLAMIC STATE LEADER) HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY THE SYRIAN OBSERVATORY FOR HUMAN RIGHTS.

Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi’s (the Islamic state leader) death has been confirmed by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. In June, Russia said that one of its air strikes might have killed Baghdadi (the IS leader) in the Syrian city of Raqqa but United States said the news could not be confirmed. Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi who was born in 1971 in Tobchi (north of Baghdad) and named Ibrahim Awad al-Samarrai by his parents declared a caliphate governed by Islamic law from a mosque in Mosul in 2014. A reward of 25 million dollars for his capture was placed by United States and this is exact amount U.S offered on Osama bin Laden (al Qaeda leader) and his successor Ayman al-Zawahri. Islamic state led by Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi had carried out numerous attacks in many cities including Nice, Paris, Manchester, Orlando, Berlin, London, Iraq, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The death of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi (the Islamic state leader) will be the biggest blow to the Islamic state group and the jihadist group has recently lost control of Mosul and Raqqa by a U.S- backed, Kurdish-led force.
