Information reaching Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Abuja revealed that the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice of Nigeria (Mr. Abubakar Malami) alleged that the federal government of Nigeria may proscribe the Yoruba nation group. This is that double-standard system the Viewers Corner News team has been speaking about. In the northern part of Nigeria, there are dangerous groups who should have been outlawed a long time ago, but the government of Nigeria is not doing that for reasons best known to them. Now the harmless Yoruba nation group is being considered to be outlawed by the government of Nigeria as alleged. This double-standard approach to issues in Nigeria by the government of the country may not make things better, instead it will worsen the security situation in Nigeria. Recently, some travellers in the northern part of Nigeria were killed and this has been happening almost on a weekly basis in that part of the country. Those conducting and sponsoring these senseless killings of innocent Nigerians are Nigerians too. Perhaps the government of Nigeria may know them. These are dangerous groups in the northern part of Nigeria who the Viewers Corner News team expected that by now, both the state and the federal government of Nigeria would have arrested their leaders and have them punished severely for terminating the lives of other Nigerians. Instead, the government of Nigeria is considering banning a harmless Yoruba group which has not committed any offences.
Again, the government of Nigeria should reassess their management of the country and make amends before it is too late. If APC/president Buhari’s led government does not put things right before general elections in 2023, they may lose the presidency to the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, which is another corrupt political party taking into consideration their looting system and lack of economic growth in the country during their 16 years of leadership.
