THE BRUTALITY OF THE UNITED STATES POLICE FORCE IS GETTING OUT OF HAND AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED PROPERLY, THE KILLING OF A 21-YEAR-OLD NIGERIAN STUDENT IN THE U.S IS WRONG AND UNACCEPTABLE.

The United States of America is a great country, there is no doubt about that and most people around the world appreciate their efforts in trying to mediate in conflict zones around the world which is a credit on the part of the country (U.S.A) but the activities in the country where police officers that are supposed to keep peace, protect and maintain law and order in the country have turned themselves into killing machines. This is terrible and unacceptable, recently a 21-year-old Nigerian student called Mathew Ajibade studying in the United States was killed by a police officer just like that, this is not right. No matter the offense this young man may have committed, still that would not have been enough reason for an officer of the law to take the young man’s life by force and another sad aspect of it all was that the police officer was charged and later found guilty but was sentenced to only one month in jail and three years on probation.
Viewers Corner News calls this kind of judgement “an insult to judiciary and also an insult to justice”. If this sort of situation can happen in the U.S,  what do you expect others to do? And United States have been in the forefront of all the countries advocating for human right and now this human right abuse is happening right inside the country, this is an abuse of office by the police officer and the judge who gave the judgement. He is not qualified to be a judge and should be replaced. Again, with this type of judge deciding on cases, believe me the country (U.S) may have difficulties because lots of people in the country may take the law into their own hands by carrying out attacks as a matter of revenge. Now assuming an ordinary citizen of the United States killed a police officer, what would come out of it? May be life jail or death sentence, therefore we (Viewers Corner News) are appealing to the United States government to use this young man’s death (Mathew Ajibade) as a point to address this issue of police brutality in the United States because no one deserves to be killed by anyone just like this United States police officer did. This is wrong and unacceptable but the judge did the worst thing and should be cautioned for his inability to deliver proper judgement and may the soul of this innocent young Nigerian student, Mathew Ajibade rest in peace.
