THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT HAS APPOINTED LAWMAKER NADHIM ZAHAWI AS VACCINES MINISTER TO OVERSEE CORONAVIRUS INOCULATIONS.

Lawmaker Nadhim Zahawi was on Saturday appointed as vaccines minister by the British government to oversee coronavirus inoculations. Britain is preparing to vaccinate millions of people against the coronavirus immediately the vaccines are approved. It was reported that the United Kingdom medicines regulator is assessing two vaccines to see if they are safe and effective; one of the vaccines is developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca, another is developed by Pfizer and BioNTech. Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent in London learned that Britain has ordered 40 million doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and 100 million doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine. Also the United Kingdom has agreed to purchase about 355 million doses of vaccines from seven different producers, as it plans to inoculated about 67 million people. Pfizer/BioNTech said their vaccine is 95% effective and must be stored at ultra-cold temperatures of around minus 70 degrees Celsius. Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine which is cheaper than Pfizer/BioNTech can be stored at normal refrigerator temperatures.
