The federal government of Nigeria banning some products from entering into the country (Nigeria) should not be seen as a bad thing, it is done in good faith which is being practised by almost every country around the world. Some countries do that to protect and encourage the citizens to patronize the locally produced goods etc. but such practice can not be controlled one hundred percent no matter the restriction placed on those banned products from entering Nigeria. Some will always be smuggled into the country (Nigeria), the best way to control such practice is to place more taxes on those banned products. We are advising the federal government of Nigeria to place more taxes on those banned products. If an importer brings in his products and can not sell them, he or she would not bring such products into the country (Nigeria) anymore. On the other hand if they decide to import those banned products and pay heavy taxes on them, the federal government of Nigeria would be on the winning side as long as those imported banned products are not harmful to the Nigerian people. We are writing about these banned products in Nigeria because our recent findings has shown that those products banned by the federal government of Nigeria are still being imported and sold in Nigerian markets so in order to protect both the local manufacturers and their products in Nigeria, the federal government should place more taxes on those banned items as long as they have been certified by the government agencies in the country (Nigeria) as being safe for use in Nigeria.
