Viewers Corner News correspondent in Enugu (Nigeria) who spoke with some leaders of various communities in the south east and south south revealed to us that what they are passing through on daily basis in the hands of Fulani herdsmen is too much. Their crops are being destroyed which is already a threat to their means of livelihood and starvation may likely set in. Also the killings of these poor famers in the south east and south south is still ongoing and as a result of that, the herdsmen and their cows which pose a serious threat to various communities have been given a deadline to leave the area so that the lives of those individuals can be saved. Honestly, this is bad and should not be happening at all.
We (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to the federal government of Nigeria to look into these issues and have the problem sorted out as quickly as they can. Safeguarding the lives of all Nigerians and their means of livelihood should be the number one priority of every government which we (Viewers Corner News team) sincerely believe that president Buhari’s administration is working to achieve, but more has to be done for peace and unity to be achieved completely.
