This is a follow-up to our previous article on this subject. The United States of America can still redeem her image on the continent of Africa if they can change the way they are treating other countries of the world, especially countries on the continent of Africa. The Africans of today are not the Africans of yesterday. This generation is now in control; they hold key positions in the most important places both in Africa and around the world. They are highly educated and can never be pushed around like the world did to their past leaders. This is a fact that the advanced countries of the world should keep in the back of their minds when dealing with Africans of the present day. China and Russia are now working with Africans as equal partners; hence, Africans are moving closer to them. But the United States of America would sit in their comfort zones and dictate to African leaders how issues were going to be discussed and implemented. Such an era of “I am the superior one” is long gone. So if the United States of America wants to reclaim its lost glory, they should come down from their high horse and begin to treat Africans and their leaders as equal partners. Doing so may change the attitude of Africans and their leaders towards the United States of America. Now is the time for the United States of America to get started and begin to do what is right before it is too late for them.
