We believe that ex-governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, who allegedly looted billions of naira belonging to the people of his state, might have done his homework properly before the authority who arrested him made it public. So Nigerians should just take that arrest as dead on arrival. We are saying so because of the corrupt judiciary system in Nigeria, where a politician would steal huge sums of money and still be treated like a king. Look at China and other progressive countries in the world that believe that stealing public money is a dangerous thing to do. Those caught in this despicable act were given capital punishment, but in Nigeria, those who stole public funds would be arrested, and after a short period of time, the matter would be thrown into a trash box, which is bad. Ex-governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is a very corrupt man who should face the law, and if convicted, he should be made to serve a very long jail term for betraying the trust given to him as a leader by the people of Kogi State. Doing so would teach others that stealing public funds is capable of destroying a whole state completely, which should be treated with all manner of seriousness.
