Information reaching Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Abuja revealed that some junior female officers of the Nigerian army are being harassed sexually by some senior male officers of the Nigerian army, and those junior female officers are afraid to speak out because if they do, those senior male officers of the Nigerian army would victimise them, which is so sad. Based on this sad report, the Viewers Corner News team is calling on President Bola Tinubu’s government to investigate this matter and bring those male senior officers of the Nigerian army to book. This is completely unacceptable and should be condemned by all Nigerians. Right now, a female officer of the Nigerian army who had the courage to speak out was taken from her station to Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria, perhaps to answer questions on why she humiliated a senior officer of the Nigerian army. It was also alleged that the junior female army officer is facing a series of allegations just because she refused the sexual advances made to her by a senior male officer of the Nigerian army. Again, the management of the Nigerian army should not tolerate any act of indiscipline from any officer. Indiscipline in the military will not bring out the very best in those men and women who have sworn to protect and defend Nigeria at all costs. The recklessness and terrible attitude shown to junior female military officers by senior officers should stop.
