Mr Khalid A-Assad the 81 years old man who was working in the Syria Antiquity site was beheaded by the Islamic state group recently according to Viewers Corner News source in Syria and his body was found hanged on a pole in Syria. This is another sad and terrible killing carried out by the Islamic state group. This man Mr Khalid Al-Assad was a great man who had been working in Syria Antiquity site after the damages done to the site as a result of continuous fighting. Khalid tried his best to preserve the ancient Palmyra site which is regarded as one of the greatest archaeological site in the middle east and around the world. The love of Antiquity made Khalid to stay behind so that the left over from Palmyra Antiquity site would not be damaged again. He even named one of his daughter, Zenobia. This was the Queen that ruled the city in the ancient era some 1,700 years ago, all this Khalid did for love of Antiquity. Why would he be killed in such a brutal and disgraceful manner? This is not right in any way.
