THE 62-YEAR OLD BRITISH WRITER, KAZUO ISHIGURO HAS WON THE 2017 NOBEL PRIZE FOR LITERATURE.

Kazuo Ishiguro, the 62-year-old British writer recently won the 2017 Nobel Prize for Literature. Kazuo Ishiguro who was made an OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in 1995 has written eight books which have been translated into more than forty languages. He was born in Nagasaki (Japan) in 1954 and in 1960, his family moved to England. He read English and philosophy at the University of Kent and gained his Masters in creative writing at the University of East Anglia. His famous novels includes; The Remains of the Day, Never Let Me Go, A Pale View of Hills, An Artist of the Floating World, The Unconsoled, When We Were Orphans, The Buried Giant and others. The award comes with a prize of  $1.1 million (844,000 pounds). Congratulations to Kazuo Ishiguro.
