TALIBAN REPRESENTATIVES INSISTED AT THE MOSCOW PEACE TALK THAT ALL FOREIGN TROOPS BE WITHDRAWN FROM AFGHANISTAN.

Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent in Moscow learned that Taliban representatives have insisted at the peace talk in Moscow that all foreign troops in Afghanistan be withdrawn. According to Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai (the head of the political office of the Taliban) who spoke at the conference in Moscow on Tuesday, 5 February 2019, he stated that foreign troops’ withdrawal from Afghanistan would be the first step in the peace process. The peace talk was between the Taliban representatives and Afghanistan delegation led by Hamid Karzai (the former president of Afghanistan). The government of President Ashraf Ghani have criticized the peace talks as the Taliban have refused to meet directly with Afghan government representatives. President Ashraf Ghani of Afghanistan said that those who gathered in Moscow for the peace talk have no executive authority.
