TAIWAN’S PRESIDENT, TSAI ING-WEN WINS RE-ELECTION IN A LANDSLIDE VICTORY, CONGRATULATIONS.

Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen (63 years) from Democratic Progressive Party has won re-election on Saturday in a landslide victory. The self-ruled island’s president, Tsai Ing-wen got 57 percent of the vote to defeat her main opponent (Han Kuo-yu). Han Kuo-yu got 39 percent of the vote and had conceded defeat on Saturday. Han Kuo-yu congratulated President Tsai Ing-wen for winning re-election in Taiwan’s presidential election. Tsai Ing-wen’s victory is a big blow to China which wanted to see her defeated and remove from power. China which loathes Tsai Ing-wen because she refuses to acknowledge that Taiwan is part of one China, has vowed to retake the island by force if necessary. Tsai Ing-wen said during her victory speech that she wanted peace and was committed to dialogue with Chinese leaders.
