THE UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL VOTED TO EXTEND THE PEACEKEEPING FORCE IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC FOR A YEAR.

It was unanimously voted by the United Nations Security Council to extend the the U.N. peacekeeping force in Central African Republic until November 15, 2020. The peacekeepers were mandated to protect civilians, support peace efforts, and assist in preparing for elections starting in 2020.
