Not less than twenty people lost their lives and many others wounded on Wednesday, 5 September 2018 when bombs exploded at a wrestling club in Dasht-e-Barchi (a Shi’ite neighborhood in Kabul). According to the report, after few minutes of the first blast, another bomb apparently targeting emergency services and journalists at the site exploded and many journalists who were reporting on the first blast were killed.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack and the Taliban has denied any involvement.
Last month, Dasht-e-Barchi experienced similar attacks when students preparing for an entrance examination into university were killed at an educational center.
Also in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), our correspondent learned that two soldiers were killed and six others wounded when their vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb in Kabonga (Sahel state in Burkina Faso). May the souls of the dead rest in peace.
