Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that the lawmakers in Spain have supported the Spanish government’s plan to exhume the remains of dictator Francisco Franco and relocate his remains from the controversial mausoleum built in his name.
Late dictator Francisco Franco was buried in 1975 in the Valley of the Fallen. The royal decree was passed on Thursday and 172 members of the lower house supported it while 2 members were against it. The government of Pedro Sanchez in August approved legal amendments to a 2007 law to allow the exhumation.
