SOME OF THE NIGERIAN RETIRED MILITARY GENERALS AND THE ONES CURRENTLY SERVING THE COUNTRY (NIGERIA) MAY BE WORSE THAN THE NIGERIAN POLITICIANS IN TERMS OF CORRUPTION. PRESIDENT BUHARI’S GOVERNMENT SHOULD GO AFTER THEM AND GET THEIR STOLEN WEALTH BACK TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TREASURY.

Nigeria as a nation is passing through hardship today because some leaders who were in power in the past could not perform nicely. When they were there, what they did was looting the Nigerian treasury to their own personal gains leaving the rest Nigerians to suffer. Most Nigerian military generals both the retired and the ones still serving the country are worse than the Nigerian politicians when it comes to the issue of corruption. The retired Nigerian generals allegedly used the opportunity they had when they were in power to loot the treasury of the country (Nigeria), the same goes to the military generals who are currently serving the country. This is too bad, look at the recently alleged discovery made by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission concerning the daughter of a retired Nigerian military general who served in the past administration of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan which 5 billion Naira was allegedly found in her bank account, this is a huge amount of money. In our calculation, if this huge amount of money was pumped into the economy of Nigeria, it would go a long way in creating some benefits to the people of the country.
Another terrible problem is that the Central Bank of Nigeria (C.B.N) and the other commercial banks in Nigeria are among those that contributed to the economic difficulties Nigeria as a nation is facing till today because of wrong monetary policy, however we shall discuss this in our next article. If an individual would keep 5 billion Naira in a private bank account, we ask of what use is it then? Normally such huge amount of money should be put in use and not standing stagnant for many years in a bank just like that, this is as a result of failed monetary policy. However we (Viewers Corner News team) have confidence in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission that in due course, they would unfold the misery behind the five billion Naira found in the bank account which belongs to the daughter of a retired military general in Nigeria. Wonders they say shall never end.
