No African leader today can confidently boast that his country can compete in any centre stage in the world in terms of technology without the help of the advance countries, dven though most African countries claimed that they have ministries of science and technology, research institutions and so on. This perhaps led some advance countries leaders to keep asking African leaders who sit on top of Diamond, Gold, Petroleum, Uranium and other natural resources which the whole world need to carry out their functions effectively, still the continent of Africa and her people who have these great mineral resources can barely feed themselves. African leaders what is wrong? If you look around the continent of Africa today, the youths from various countries are risking their lives trying to cross the high sea to Europe and other countries of the world because their leaders who they elected to pilot the affairs of their various countries can not perform effectively. Look at Nigeria for example, the resources of the country can comfortable feed the whole of Africa if managed properly but still the country can not even take care of her citizens. Insecurity everywhere, corruption is so rampant. Politicians embezzle billions of Naira with impunity without thinking of their people, this is complete madness. It was worst before President Buhari came to office and now he (President Buhari) is trying his best to repair the damaged system. Again, in Nigeria based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings, some state governors who are very corrupt are opposing the autonomy of local governments in the country (Nigeria). Their major reason perhaps is because the governors can no longer have access to the allocations of the local governments to themselves. Corruption and selfishness that is what it is. We (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on African leaders to retrace their footsteps, create jobs for your people. Make power supply one of your priorities so that it can attract investors both local and foreign to your various countries to invest. Industries and small businesses need power to operate their systems. Make money available for research works, do not rely only on what you import from advance countries to run your economy. Such attitude will ruin a country. There are lots of areas African countries can put their resources to and achieve huge results. Encourage and boost trade within the continent of Africa and do not always rely on the advice of foreign committees on trade to run your businesses in the continent of Africa because some of their analyses can be misleading based on what we (Viewers Corner News and the Advisory team) know.
